Head Teacher Welcome

Croeso i'r Ysgol Gynradd Adamsdown!

Welcome to Adamsdown Primary School!

We are a diverse and inclusive school in the centre of Cardiff. Adamsdown Primary School first opened in 1875 with our current school building opening in 1980. It was extended again in 2010 and 2016 to house the ever increasing pupil population.

Adamsdown Primary is recognised as a warm, welcoming and friendly school. Every visitor who spends time in the school comments on the calm atmosphere and how delightful our children are!

We encourage our pupils to develop the values of kindness, respect, empathy, resilience, uniqueness and confidence as they progress through our school.

We have been awarded 'The School of Sanctuary award' which celebrates our school being recognised as a safe and welcoming environment for the whole school community. This recognition has recently been boosted by our school achieving the Silver award for embedding the UNRC Rights of the Child throughout the school. We pride ourselves on strong relationships across the school community and with all stakeholders.

If you wish to visit our school you will be welcomed by our team of staff who will make an appointment to show you around.
