Criw Cymraeg
A message from the Criw Cymraeg
S’mae! Rydyn ni’n Criw Cymraeg! We are a team that supports the Welsh language development throughout Adamsdown with the help of Mrs Southard, our lead Practitioner for Welsh. We work hard to promote the Welsh language through playground games, rewards and monitoring.
News:
-
We are pleased to announce that we have achieved the Cymraeg Campus Bronze Award in Welsh language excellence! We were only one of 22 schools to do this at the end of the 2018-2019 academic year – da iawn ni!
-
We will also continue to be a Lead Practitioner School in Welsh for the 2019-2020 year – look out for our hard work in supporting other schools by following our Welsh in Adamsdown Twitter page; @CymraegAdamsPri
-
Our applications and interviews for the new Criw Cymraeg 2019-2020 have taken place – we are now a strong team of 15!
Spring Term Plan:
-
This term we will be monitoring the use of Helpwr Heddiw in the classroom by conducting a ‘Learning Walk’. When we have gathered our findings we will be giving feed back to the teachers and learners of each class, giving ways to improve.
-
We will be continuing our work with Ysgol Glan Morfa, developing our reading project to include all classes!
-
We will be looking to start our two year journey towards the Silver Cymraeg Campus Award – we have decided to focus on Targed 1 a 2 this term – watch this space to see how we get on!
What a busy term ahead! Diolch for your continued support in promoting our treasured language – gyda’n gilydd, we will continue to aim high!
