S’mae! Rydyn ni’n Criw Cymraeg! We are the team that promotes Welsh in Adamsdown with the help of Miss Bowen. We work hard to model the Welsh language and monitor and reward those who use it too! We encourage everyone to use Welsh formally and informally through Helpwr Heddiw sessions, playground games and during all daily activities. We work hard to promote Welsh in our community and share our Welsh ethos with our families and friends.
We plan for and lead Welsh celebrations and work with Criw Cymraeg's from other schools to host and attend Welsh coffee mornings and celebrations of work. We ensure that Welsh history and culture is included in our Contexts of learning and we are proud to uphold 'Cynefin' as a priority in Adamsdown.
After achieving the 'Bronze' award, we are currently working towards our Siarter iaith Cymraeg Campus 'Sliver' award.
Cymraeg Campus is a Language Charter that is used to promote the use of the Welsh language throughout the school, across the Curriculum and in all areas of school/community life. In school we have established a ‘Criw Cymraeg’ who are a pupil voice set up to encourage and promote the Welsh language and Welsh Culture.
