Children will be eating their lunch in their classroom so please make sure they know how to open all the items in their lunch bag.
Health and Safety
- Your child’s class will become a social group with the adults who work in the classroom with them (please see our website for staffing information for this year).
- Each social group will not mix with any other social group at any time.
- Each social group will follow strict hand hygiene procedures and cleaning takes place regularly throughout the day
- Children under the age of 11 do not need to socially distance or wear face masks but adults will remain 2 metres apart from children
- Children will need to wear clean clothes every day and change when they get home in the evening. We encourage you to dress your child in school uniform.
Contacting the school
- Parents and visitors will not be allowed on site so all children will be met at the gates by their teachers.
- If you wish to speak to the class teacher please ring the school and the teacher will ring you back when convenient.
- The school office can be contacted on 02920493600 but parents will not be able to enter the site unless collecting a child who has become unwell during school hours.
What to do if your child is unwell
DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL IF THEY HAVE A COUGH OR A HIGH TEMPERATURE
- If your child becomes unwell in school they will be taken to a room where they can isolate from other children and you will be contacted. In this situation your child will need to be tested for covid-19 and the results reported back to school.
I appreciate it is an anxious time for parents. There are a lot of false rumours being spread on Facebook about covid-19 and the school’s re-opening. If you have any questions your child’s teacher will ring next week to reassure you or you can ring the main office.
I am looking forward to seeing everyone over the next two weeks and bringing our wonderful school back together whilst keeping everyone safe.
Yours sincerely
Mrs E Thomas – Head teacher
